Anaphylaxis

This is a severe and potentially life-threatening reaction to a trigger such as an allergy.

It’s also known as anaphylactic shock.

The Dept for Education states School staff should receive sufficient and suitable training and achieve the necessary level of competency before they take on responsibility to support children with medical conditions. Any member of school staff should know what to do and respond accordingly when they become aware that a pupil with a medical condition needs help.

We have healthcare professional trainers who can deliver a short session on use of an auto-injector, either as an add-on to another course or a stand-alone session.
